FTP INSTRUCTIONS
(Please read thoroughly)
Requirements:
1) Up-to-date browser (ie: Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher, Firefox 2.0 or higher)
2) Java installed
-If you are having problems with this site, updating your software may be the solution.
-Using a FTP client is highly recommended.


Directions for logging on through our website FTP client:
1) If you see a window asking to install JRE (java runtime environment), accept the download. If you get a window asking you to download it yourself, you can get it here.
2) Contact us and we will provide the Hostname, Username, and Password for the FTP server.
3) When the server asks for the Hostname, Username, and Password, fill in the corresponding fields with the information we provided, then click on “connect”. All other fields should be left alone; the default settings are the desired settings.
4) Once connected, you can upload files by dragging and dropping them onto the large box on the right hand side of the window. You can drag them from either the left side of the window, or directly from a file window.

Directions for logging on through your own FTP client:
1) Contact us and we will provide the Hostname, Username, and Password for the FTP server.
2) Please refer to your FTP client's user manual for specific directions as FTP clients vary.

DOWNLOADING FILES:
1) Download the desired file from our FTP server
2) Call us or just simply delete the file(s)

UPLOADING FILES:
PC: Please zip all files into one zip file
Mac: Please stuff all files into one stuffit file
NOTICE: THIS FTP SITE HAS A 500 MB LIMIT!
-Create a new folder for your files to be held in if there are more than 1
-Include the name of your company in the name of the folder
-Be sure to include all fonts, links, copy, and layout files
-Call us to notify us that you have successfully uploaded files on our FTP
SYNAPSE INSTRUCTIONS
(Please read thoroughly)
Requirements:

2) Java installed
-If you are having problems with this site, updating your software may be the solution.
-Using a FTP client is highly recommended.


Directions for logging on:
1) Contact us and we will provide you with a Username, and Password for the synapse server. You will need to give us an email address for the server to send you messages. You may choose your own Username and Password. They will arrive in your email, automatically generated by the Synapse server.
2) Enter your Username and Password.

DOWNLOADING FILES:
1) Download the desired file from our Synapse server.
2) Call us or just simply delete the file(s).

UPLOADING FILES:
1) Contact us and we will create a job folder on the server for you.
2) Log on and select the newly created job folder (if this is the only active job you will be automatically brought there)
3) Click on “New Upload” and select the files you wish to upload.
4) Call us to notify us that you have successfully uploaded files on our Synapse server
-PC: Please zip all files into one zip file
-Mac: Please stuff all files into one stuffit file

Directions for approving pages or requesting corrections:
1) Under “Pages” click on the text that says “Requiring Approval”.
2) Click on the Magnifying glass icon next the the thumbnail of the first page and NOT the thumbnail or the name of the page. A new window will appear.
3) To approve pages, click the check mark icon on the top bar. You will then be prompted to view other pages.
4) To request corrections, use the tools on the top bar to make annotations showing what needs to be changed and how. Then click the button on the top bar on the left of the check box icon, the one labeled “Request Corrections”. After clicking this, you will also get another opportunity to comment on the corrections needed. You will then be prompted to view other pages.
5) To jump to other pages, click on the page name on the bottom left of the window.
6) When you are done, you can close this window. To log off, click the “X” in the blue circle on the top of the page to the right of the Synapse InSite tile bar.
7) Call us and let us know that we have pages that are approved or corrections that are requested. Or if you have questions or need help. The server also has its own help function. Click the question mark button in the upper right corner and a new window will appear with the synapse help guide.
